In an interview with JSR, Chloe Honkoski, a junior at Immaculate Heart, stated, “I absolutely cannot wait until the ring ceremony because I am enamored with the idea of having an object that represents a great part of who I am and what I stand for.”
Other juniors at Immaculate Heart share the same feelings as Honkoski.
In fact, the junior class has been diligently preparing the ceremony for an extended period of time. The students practiced their liturgical songs and maintained the strict structure of the event, which occurs at Immaculate Heart High School. The ceremony starts during the afternoon so that at the end, juniors may join their ring sisters for lunch. A group of ring sisters includes a senior and one or two juniors who bond over their ring and their sisterhood. Juniors choose their ring sisters. Although this tradition has ceased, many juniors still continue this tradition on their own.

A senior at Immaculate Heart, Eve Meldem, commented, “Last year, this ceremony meant a lot to me and I hope to recreate the same experience I had for the juniors.”
Each senior chooses one or two juniors to be her ring sisters. Ring sisters have strong connections with one another. Overall, the ring ceremony is a wonderful event filled with love and warmth for the upperclassmen. It is a time when students remind each other of their strong sisterhood and school pride.
