People are always asked if their happy or not, however what does happy mean.  Happy is one of the hardest word to define. In society, the number one thing that people want to be is to be happy. However, most people think that money and success is the way to be happy. However, psychological studies convey that being happy doesn’t mean money and success.

High school tends to be the part in life where students become stressful and unhappy. For example Juyoung Kang, a junior in Crescenta Valley High School told JSR “ I’m the most happiest when I eat.” This is typical response from high schoolers. These people need a way to release their stress and Juyoung just like mentioned before does it by eating.   High School is only four years of one’s life and people say that it’s the most important four year of one’s life. However, these students or parents of high school students don’t realize that flunking high school isn’t going to ruin one’s life. According to a study, studying for ten hours of day isn’t always going to lead to success. Happiness is also a way to success for these high school students. The reason why happiness leads to success is because it leads to people having a more positive thought ,which makes it more enjoyable for students to learn and study.

There are many different things that provide happiness in people

In our society many people think that money and success equals happiness. However, there have been studies that money and success doesn’t necessarily mean happiness. In our society we could buy stuff with cash, credit card, and debit card. However, there are stuff we can’t buy with money but is free that brings happiness.  For example, experience is something that one can’t buy with money but is valuable. It’s been told that experience makes one feel more connected to others which is why it brings happiness.  Japan is one of the busiest country in the world. People work over a hundred hour a month. Karoshi is a term that means death from overworking. According to a study, over two thousand Japanese people killed themselves because of the stress they got because of work. These people worked so long because of money and success however, the consequence of that was being unhappy and ending up dying.

One of the most happiest country is Denmark. What is that makes Denmark different from other countries. Denmark has lots of homes called share houses. Share houses is where twenty different families live in the same building or facility. The advantages of these share house is that no one is ever alone. These share house brings family close together which could help people become happier because there’s always a friend to talk, people feel more connected with each other, and there’s always someone one could rely on.

Overall, there ways that one could become happier for example, by being connected to people. However, true happiness is something that one can’t choose for others. One has to find what they’re passionate for. Happiness doesn’t always come from success and money. People need happiness.
