New student reporters orientation!

On July 29, 2010 student reporters gathered at The Korea Daily’s Los Angeles bureau to be welcomed by the editor-in-chief and president to kick off the beginning of a new six-month session. Student reporters will have the opportunity to report on issues and events in their schools, communities and generation, and see their stories published in The Korea Daily.
Jason Song, education staff writer at Los Angeles Times, spoke to the students about professional journalism. The program concluded by recognizing student reporters who successfully completed the previous six-month session and by introducing the new student editors:

Group 1 – Brian Choi, Grade 12, Canyon High School
Group 2 – Jean Park, Grade 12, Harvard-Westlake
Group 3 – Erica Hyeon Hye Yun – Grade 12, Granada Hills
Group 4 – Da Som Seo, Grade 12, Granada Hills
Group 5 – Paul Kim, Grade 12, Cerritos High School
Group 6 – Diane Kim, Grade 11, Cypress High School
Group 7 – Hyunn Jae Seo, Grade 11, Troy High School
Group 8 – Annette Ko, Grade 12, Northwood High School
Group 9 – Stacey Lee, Grade 12, Woodbridge High School
Group 10 – Michelle Wu, Grade 12, Cypress High School
