There is a continuing debate about whether a public school or a private school is the better choice for high school students. On one hand, some prefer the private school curriculum and smaller student teacher ratio, but cannot afford the very expensive private school tuition. On the other hand, some students prefer the less strict school environment at the public schools and also that it is free for all to attend. With no definitive answer, the debate continues.

Westfield High School Students Walk to Support Pediatric Cancer Research

On Saturday, April 30, 2016 students of Westfield High School under the leadership of the Walk for Kids with Cancer Club participated in an annual fundraising walk. Hundreds of students, families, and cancer survivors gathered in Central Park to take part in the annual fight against pediatric cancer. An organization such as Kids Walk for Cancer is a way for the community to join together and raise money as well as awareness in a fun event. These events have fundraised a great amount of money and will continue to hold such events in order to help fund the treatment of pediatric cancer.
