Centennial High School’s own Technology Student Association is planning to go to the national TSA conference this year. The conference is set to take place in spring 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia.  A fairly newer club at Centennial High, the club just started meetings recently and many of its members graduated the previous year. Although the club is not as big as it was, the club is still aiming to reach their goal by the end of the school year.

With plans of attending the conference, currently, the club is having the members choose their events and is beginning preparation. “I want to have the same fun at the state conference that I had last year with my friends. I plan on preparing more so that this year I can attend the national conference in Georgia.” said Hao Wang, one of the club’s officers.

There are many events that members can choose from and they are all based around STEM.  The goal of the organization is to have students use their knowledge in STEM practically and integrate the concepts through activities.

TSA is nationwide and has many smaller clubs in different schools locally.

“Although we don’t have as many members as we did last year, I believe that our current members are capable enough to go on and compete at the national level this year and we just need to prepare them enough” said Luke Kim in an interview.

The club has a lot of time before the state level conference in the spring and so hopefully they will be able to prepare to do their best.
