On March 9th, for the first time in South Korean history, the president was impeached. So now Korea has just two months to elect the new 19th president, and it will require social cohesion of the people and their participation as citizens of Korea.

It is high time that Korea needs the wise decision of its electors, and the importance of media is rising up to the issue.

In the process of a political election, the role of the press is highly significant in influencing the attitudes of voters, decisions in politics, and the results of the act in the election too. According to election polls, the media attracts the voters’ interests, more participation in the election, and form the main role of setting the right system of election by doing the right broadcast reporting.

Many media outlets seem to be moving away from the traditional televised reporting of news. [Source: http://thediplomat.com/]

However, the press often gives false or inaccurate information to the people, due to the wrong application of tolerance limits or errors of data with unresponsive people. Some reports also exaggerate information in order to instigate conflict among the people, which tends to occur in every presidential election in Korea.

But since this is the one of the most important elections in Korean history, lots of fast press companies like MBN and Maeil Business Newspaper have organized the expert 100 verified reporters and writers for this election, even before people became interested in this new presidential election. These companies are going directly to the campaign sites and reporting with fast Social Network Services (SNS) like Facebook or Twitter in order to report faster, more accurate information than other press companies and give the right reports to voters in South Korea.
