Posted on June 5, 2012June 12, 2012 by Ashley Kwon

Attention all young musicians! Orange County Korean Cultural Center (OCKCC) is hosting its seventh annual Young Musicians’ Competitions on Sunday, June 24th. It will take place at Fullerton College of Music.

Anyone between the ages of 6 to 18 is eligible to compete in one of the four divisions of the competition: piano, strings, voice, and woodwinds. Competitors must bring their own accompanists on the day of the competition. Contestants are to choose one piece and memorize the piece; however, they still must bring the original music to the competition.

Applications are available online on OCKCC website (www.ockcc.com). Applications must be received by June 10. The registration fee is $50 when applications are submitted by May 31 and will be $60 after May 31.

Everyone participating in this competition will receive an award. But trophies will be given only to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners from each level. Fullerton College of Music is located in 321 E. Chapman Ave., Fullerton, CA 92832
