The time has come in the year when the Seniors take their final bow as they leave high school behind and enter into college. Similarly, here at JSR, it is also time for us to say goodbye to our seniors who have worked so diligently throughout their time with us. Whether they are veterans of JSR or they joined just this semester, our seniors have been great contributors to the program and especially our veterans have played a critical role in this program as student editors.

As the Program Coordinator for this program, I cannot say that their successes are all thanks to JSR, but I do believe that JSR has played a vital role in their development and success as not just a writer, but also a student. Being a J Student Reporter requires writing skills, time management skills, interpersonal communication skills, and for our student editors, a firm understanding of grammar to edit their student reporters’ articles. With all of these necessities combined, I can proudly say that JSR has been a great asset in helping our seniors reach the high standards they have set for themselves.
It will be very sad to say goodbye to our seniors but as the Spring 21 JSR is now coming to a close and we embark on the upcoming semester, we can only hope that the caliber of students that return and newly join us stay as high as it has thus far. The various topics our seniors and student reporters have written about are far reaching and I hope that we can continue reaching further and further.
