Whether you watched, or did not watch, the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” here’s the significance of the movie. Recently, the seventh movie of Star Wars came out, and it has become the object of devotion for people from all over the world. People of all ages enjoy this movie, because the movie has been a part of people’s lives. The main characters of the movie are Ren, Finn, Han Solo, and Kylo Ren.

Rey and Finn stole a plane to escape from Tatooine which is when they first meet Han Solo and start a new adventure. The new Star Wars movie was such a big hit, it was the most-seen movie in the country; it has made $1.94 billion as of Jan. 26.

SPOILER ALERT: According to some fans, the scene in which Han Solo dies is significant in Star Wars.  Han Solo is a hero, who saved the main character of the movie. People who aren’t Star Wars fans might ask why Han Solo dying is so significant. The death of Han Solo is important because his death was at the hands of his son, Kylo Ren, who betrayed him.

It’s really hard to see or hear about a son killing his biological father. Lauren Yoo, a student at Crescenta Valley High School, said, “ The key scene of the movie is when Han Solo dies. When Kylo Ren kills his father, Kylo Ren lies to Han Solo by asking for help.” Han Solo’s death was deeply affecting because of who it was that killed him.

Many people didn’t expect Han Solo to die, until Han Solo tried to convert his son to his side. Many people can’t imagine a Star Wars movie without Han Solo. In The Force Awakens, there were other important characters who died, but the death of Han Solo was the most shocking because he had such a big impact in the most famous Star Wars movies.
